The Hassaï Gold Mines: in Sudan have been in operation since 1992, and 18 pits have been excavated over the years to extract the high-grade ore. The ore extracted to date comes from an upper zone enriched with a much larger mineralised system.
The deposits of volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS), the primary sources of gold are visible in the bottom six of the 18 pits. A preliminary assessment of VMS and a feasibility study for residues were published in September 2010.
The residues that accumulated during the first 15 years of operation Hassaï represent a significant potential that could greatly extend the life of the mine Hassaï.

Koskuduk Gold Mine: is located 200 km west of Semipalinsk and utilises open-pit/heap leaching.

Koskuduk contains near-surface oxide gold, with sulphide potential at depth.
Resources are estimated at 250,000 oz (C1+C2), although management believes there is potential for at least 1,000,000 oz.
Construction of a plant complex at Koskuduk began in 2009, entering production in Q2 2010.
